Hey Matt,

Did you notice the dates of each one? Can't wait to see who writes the 2009 edition. WSJ?

"Wall Street Refugees: Bankers, Hedge Fund Managers, and Financial Analysts Bring New York Cool to Buenos Aires for Cheap"

Buenos Aires - On a small street in the fashionable bohemian financial neighborhood of Palermo Park Avenue, passersbys would have to look closely to know that this gleaming turquoise and brown building is actually the boutique bank F.U.N.K.
Founded by Louis Winthorpe III--an expat and former fund manager from New York, F.U.N.K. takes banking to a whole new level in Buenos Aires. Clients, while waiting to deposit or withdraw cash, are allowed to mingle with fashionable celebrities while sipping on fabulous fruitinis. "This is the hippest place to bank in Buenos Aires," says expat and former Bear Stearns manager Mortimer Duke who moved to Argentina after his company was sold for $2 a share in early 2008.

You know, as I was reading the NYT's article I couldn't help but feel this overwhelming sense of deja vu. I just thought it was because it's what I've been hearing lately and not just because I've read the other two articles you brought to attention.

Thank goodness for tango, expats, arts, music, boutique hotels and great rent. There'd be no Argentina without 'em!

(yes, that was sarcasm.)
